If the student is receiving legal services pro-bono, if their sole source of income is disability and/or they can show hardship, 123Debtor.com makes scholarships available to students unable to pay the fee. The fee may be waived by providing the requested information from the appropriate parties. 123Debtor.com will possibly reduce or waive the Pre-discharge Debtor Education fees for students whose household income is less than 150% of the estimated poverty threshold for their applicable family size as published by the Bureau of the Census. NOTE:
- The income for comparison to the poverty guidelines is the "Total Combined Monthly Income" as reported (or as will be reported) on Line 16 of Schedule I of the bankruptcy petition.
- Non-cash governmental assistance (such as food stamps or housing subsidies) is not included in calculating debtor income.
- The income of a spouse is included in calculating income whether or not a joint petition is filed, unless the spouses are separated and a joint petition is not filed.
The income of any other family member listed on Schedule I as a dependent also is included.

Upon registration, the debtor student must provide their bankruptcy case number including the Federal Judicial District in which the case was filed. The course is provided to debtor students without regard to the student's ability to pay the fee of $6.95 (for singles) or $6.95 (for couples).The United States Trustee has reviewed only the provider’s instruction course. The United States Trustee has neither reviewed nor approved any other services the provider provides to debtors. Nothing herein shall apply to actions or claims under the provisions of the United States Bankruptcy Code, 11 U.S.C. Sec 101.
Attorney accounts are established for your convenience and if your attorney has a payment arrangement with us we may invoice that attorney for your course fee. 123debtor.com does not participate in discount agreements or contracts with attorneys. If your attorney has an account with 123debtor.com, your attorney will be invoiced the same amount you would pay as a client without an attorney. All publicly disclosed fees are applicable to all students.
The 123debtor.com instructor that will be delivering your bankruptcy debtor education is an experienced and trained professional. The education and training background of all 123debtor.com training instructors either meets or exceeds standards of the Executive Office for the United States Trustees, U.S. Department of Justice.
A debtor will only receive a certificate if the debtor completes the bankruptcy debtor education course. Upon debtor’s completion of the course, 123debtor.com will promptly provide a certificate of course completion to the debtor student. If requested, 123debtor.com may also provide debtor’s attorney with copies of the certificate, as well as any other required information gathered during the counseling session. In the absence of such a request, the debtor student, and not 123debtor.com, is responsible for providing a copy of the certificate of completion to their attorney and/or the court.
Referral Fees Prohibited:
The Provider does not pay or receive fees or other considerations for referrals.
Course materials are provided through the Internet via an interactive learning module. The course can be accessed 24 hours a day / 7 days a week and 365 days a year. However, site support is limited to certain hours of operation. Upon successful completion of the briefing or course, the approved Providers will issue a certificate of completion to the debtor.
A Special Note About Children: Children are not eligible to use our service and we ask that minors (under the age of 16) do not submit any personal information to us or use the service. 123debtor.com does not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under the age of 16, and no part of the Web site is structured to attract anyone under the age of 16.
Bilingual Customers: 123debtor.com does not provide bilingual instruction with regards to the online course, nor do we offer customer service or professional interpreter assistance to any limited English proficient debtor.

Deleting your information. Federal and state regulations may require that we store completed Submissions for various periods of time. In order to comply with these regulations, we may be unable to delete information from our databases.
